Martin Hasle (31) is multi-handicapped after a car accident 14 years ago. He got a severe brain damage and can no longer move or speak, but he communicates through a computer he handles with his left thumb. He lives in a nursing home and is 100% dependent on help 24 hours a day. But he doesn’t get that, so most of the time he spends alone – waiting. The only people who come to visit are his parents, and social worker Bente, who seems to have her own agenda with Martin.
